Into Our Process

Phase One:

Strategic Planning

To connect your vision and bring it to life, we kick things off by intimately understanding your space. We schedule a time to complete a site walk-through, ask questions, take notes, and assess the project scope. From here, we can make recommendations within your budget and work out other important details

Phase Two:

Conceptual Development

After gathering all the preliminary information, we start sketching ideas and drafting detailed floor plans. One of our primary goals here is to balance style choice and functionality so that your resulting space is practical, adheres to standard building code practices, and is beautifully on-brand.

Phase Three:

Design Development

Once you approve our sketches and floor plans, we put on our creative caps and flesh out the basic design, including interior and exterior finishings like walls, flooring, and lighting. We think about the fun stuff like colours, textures, and furnishings. But we also think strategically about ways to keep the electrical wiring hidden and the best spots for outlets.

Phase Four:

Construction Development

This is where our contractors enter the picture. We’ll work with you to compile all the necessary architectural, engineering and construction documentation our engineers, plumbers, carpenters and so on will need to complete the project. This step also allows us to obtain all the permits we’ll require to move forward.

Phase Five:

Project Administration

In this final phase, we repeatedly conduct site visits and carefully monitor the entire construction process. Our goal is to ensure the contractors get everything done on time and according to our design specifications. Also, if there are any adjustments you’d like to make, we’ll manage those changes, so the finished space is everything you imagined and more.
